I watched the movie on video and I had to stop at the public torture part. I went back after I gathered enough courage and fast forwarded till Wallace died. I am still very upset. This is too brutal. How could anyone bear the scene? Why. The best movie by far that I ever seen. When he was a young boy, William Wallace's father and brother, along with many others, lost their lives trying to free Scotland. Once he loses another of his loved ones, William Wallace begins his long quest to make Scotland free once and for all, along with the assistance of Robert the Bruce.
As a teacher, I use this film with some of my classes (English as a foreign language. I find quite useful to get the students used to other accents than the usual RP or General American. What's more, it helps discuss not only this bit of Scottish history, but also the historical inaccuracies in the film, this question being a good conversation starter.

This is a movie that never really decided what it wanted to be. it began brilliantly with scenes geared toward body language and subtlety but changed its mind quickly, opting for extremely graphic (unnecessarily) war scenes. mel gibson is lousy as usual as a scorned scottsman seeking revenge on the whole world. his character never really makes up his mind as to what he wants to be. the villain is uninspiring and the relationships lack dynamics. the characters are not developed poorly, yet not brilliantly either. the movie is entertaining but overrated.
There are the moments in “for the love of the princess” that sound like “remember me” from Troy. From time to time I come back to your channel to listen you. This video is one of my favourites, it's so emotional. We all have our favorite movie, no movie is perfect, except for this
one. It just is for me. It evokes all the emotions that a movie needs
too in order to be great. There's others that come close, but a distant
second to this perfect piece of celluloid. Pop this in the DVD player
the other night and I still find things that are new and fresh, it still
moves me and it's about what every person cherishes in this life,
freedom. Simply the best. A movie that will live on forever. I'm
looking forward to Mel's next film, The Passion. Bet that will stir
some controversy. Nothing wrong with that. Mel's a passionate film
maker, he cares about every frame. The Passion is a perfect title for
what Mel's filmmaking has been about. We'll see how he depicts the
final hours of the Cross. Bet it.
Awww that's such a heartfelt touching educational scene ! Love is pretty special a game changer ! Solves everything ! Nothing else matters ! 😔🤷♂️ imagine being compassionate. Or caring or being kind and going a tiny bit out of the way to make someone's day ? Or to make them feel better ? Or to make them smile ? 🤷♂️😔 that doesn't happen anymore ! Not in America - only the complete opposite ! 😔🤷♂️which really doesn't help anyone anywhere ! Maybe I'm missing something ! I thought the truth mattered and being honest and innocent was a good thing ? 🤷♂️🤷♂️😔😔 cause I'm not sure that I'm speaking English ! Cause if you hated me more than anything in the entire world - by helping me you would in turn help everyone else that you love and is in your life currently and Humanity so it does nothing to ignore or not respond it works in the complete opposite ! A really big opposite ? So that confuses me I always thought it was better to admit or address a problem rather than run from it or pretend or ignore it - makes things a lot worse in the end ! Like denial in addiction ! Can't ever fix anything - not until you surrender and admit that you got an issue to floral with and only then can you move forward and be the best version of yourself again ! 🤷♂️😔 another words not addressing this situation right here is the single biggest worst craziest dangerous mistake eve in the history of human beings ! 🤷♂️😔 so idk I must be speaking a foreign language ! Cause in screaming and ain't nobody hearing a fucking thing - smoke signals - doesn't matter 🤷♂️😔 that's the most bizarre and craziest thing I've ever seen or could possibly ever imagine happening ! Hands down the dumbest worst move - that person that could have changed everything overnight and nobody is doing their jobs and getting the files ? The evidence of the biggest thing to ever happen in America and the countries safety and security ! No big deal I guess 😳🤷♂️😔😳 it's just strange every movie I've ever seen they need the evidence to get things done ! And it's your jobs ! 🤷♂️😔 whatever.
